NetRef v5 - Link Management Solution

****** SETUP

Before setup Netref, yo have to read Terms of use
Pre-required
1. Apache Server 1.3+ & PHP 4.1+
2. Database Server MySQL 4.0+ (on the samo computer or not)
3. 2 Mo free space on the Web Server for the script Netref and between 1 and 100 Mo for the data.
4. Option "Register Global=Off" of PHP is better
5. Brower used have to support Javascript 1.2 +
Setup process

Edit the file .htaccess et and edit the ligne #3 : RewriteBase /NETREF_DIRECTORY/
Upload on your Webserver (one level after root is better) the file of Netref
Make a CHMOD 777 on the directory inc/ and the file cache/cat_for.php, inc/var.php, sitemap.xml et sitmap.xml.gz and every file of the directory lan/ if you want to edit the text of the script in the Admin Menu..
Go at the root of the script, and click on Setup Netref
Follow the steps of the process :
- Step 1/4 - Configuration of the options SQL
- Step 2/4 - Check SQL connection
- Step 3/4 - Create table / CHMOD / rebuild buffer
- Step 4/4 - Create Super user
Edit the files head.php, foot.php et syle.css to change the top and the bottom of every pages (view comment of the page) and the style CSS of the file.

Netref is now setup ;)

****** HOW TO USE IT

Users (guest)

They just have to follow instructions. Users can suggest website end categories.

Administrators

Administrors have ton connect with "Login page". After, the can add, edit and delete items.
They can validate website or manage users, awards, advertises, parameters, etc.

****** INTEGRATE NETREF ON YOUR WEBSITE

To integrate Netref on your website, you jsute have to edit the file head.php, foot.php et syle.css of the directory inc/. Be carreful, you have to add you code between the comments of thoses files.

****** COUNT IN

The directory have a system to count the back-link of the websites. So give the URL www.youwebsite.com/netref/gestion/in.php?id=idsite and system will count IN.

****** ADD A LANGUAGE

Copy a langage directory from the directory lan/.
For example, copy en/ and rename the copy de/ for deutsh translation. After, you have to connect as administrator and go in the translation menu. After, you wil have to translate every mail and text row.
Send us your translation ! We will share them with others users.

****** URL REWRITING

Netref can translate URL like index.php?cat=2 to URL MyCategory-2.html with URL Rewriting module from Apache. This function is unavailable bt default because it doesn't work with some hoster.
If you want to enabled it, edit the file .htaccess

RewriteEngine on
RewriteBase /NETREF_DIRECTORY/

and enabled it in the admin menu.

****** MAIL SENDED

Some emails are sended.

You can edit contents of those email on "Traductions / Text "of the administration menu.
You have to make CHMOD 777 on everu files of the directory /lan/ to do that.

****** SEARCH ENGINE

The search engine of Netref is using MySQL FullText indexation. You can use operators like +, -, () et joker.

****** MANAGE ADVERTISE

You can manage advertises in the admin menu .

****** MANAGE AWARDS

You can manage Awards in the admin menu and add some distinctions, some examples :

- Beautiful Website
- Free Website
- Website without pop-up
- Website secured
- Respect private life.
